At Davis Building Company, we do one thing well; we build.
We are a family-owned general contractor company based in Newnan, Georgia. With our backgrounds deep-rooted in engineering and construction, we organized Davis Building Company in 2020 with a simple concept in mind: do good work and build up one another.
We bring to the table a full scope of services within the construction market with experience in a diverse range of project types. Our services include general contracting, design-build and construction management.
General Contracting
Davis will partner with stakeholders in providing general contractor services under the traditional design-bid-build project delivery method. Under this approach, the owner engages an architect to design the project, prepare bid documents, and assist in selection of the general contractor.
Design + Build
Under the design-build delivery method, Davis will partner with the owner and serve as the single point of responsibility for design and construction. The design-build method has the advantage of an integrated design and construction team working together. The result of this collaboration can reduce costs to the owner and accelerate the project schedule.
Construction Management
Using this partnering approach, Davis will engage with the owner’s architect at inception to collaborate valuable input during the design phase of the project. This method is also known as CM at Risk whereas the owner contracts with Davis for construction management services including construction of the project at a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) before construction commences. This approach also has the advantage of the design and construction team working together with a focus on preconstruction activities and valuable input from key subcontractors.
