General Contracting
DAVIS Building Company partners with stakeholders in providing general contractor services under the traditional design-bid-build project delivery method. Under this approach, the owner engages an architect to design the project, prepare bid documents and assist in the selection of the general contractor. Once DAVIS is selected as the general contractor, we begin partnering with the most qualified and well-rounded subcontractors. DAVIS prides itself on the relationships that are built between the owner, architect, and subcontractors.
Design + Build
The design-build delivery method allows DAVIS Building Company to partner with the owner and serve as the single point of responsibility for design and construction. The design-build method has the advantage of an integrated design and construction team working together, streamlining collaboration, communication, and coordination. This method allows DAVIS to be on the front end of the project through completion to ensure a successful project delivery. The result of this collaboration can reduce costs to the owner and accelerate the project schedule.
Construction Management
DAVIS Building Company engages with the owner’s architect at inception to collaborate and provide valuable input during the design phase. This project method is also known as Construction Management at Risk where the owner contracts with DAVIS for construction management services including construction of the project at a guaranteed maximum price (GMP) before construction commences. This approach also has the advantage of the design and construction team working together with a focus on preconstruction activities and valuable input from key subcontractors.
